What is Sevloom?+

Does Sevloom replace my monitoring or observability platform?+
No. Your system can call the Sevloom API to page the personnel who need to be engaged.
What is a closed circle?+
A closed circle is created in the Sevloom mobile app for people you invite directly, such as family or trusted friends.
What is a managed circle?+
A managed circle is created in the Sevloom Cloud dashboard and connects a team, service, or operational environment to Sevloom.
What is the difference between a managed circle and a closed circle?+
A managed circle connects a team, service, or operational environment to Sevloom Cloud. A closed circle is created in the mobile app for people you invite directly, such as family or trusted friends. Both provide a focused way to send pages to the right people.
Do I need to sign in to use a closed circle?+
No. Closed circles can be created and joined in the Sevloom mobile app without a Sevloom Cloud sign-in. Keep notifications enabled and the app connected to the internet so pages can reach the people in the circle.
How does a phone send or receive pages from a system or service?+
A workspace owner creates a managed circle in Sevloom Cloud and pairs each responder device with a short-lived pairing code. A trusted server-side integration can then send pages to that managed circle through the paging API.
How does a phone send or receive pages from family or a closed circle?+
Create a closed circle in the Sevloom mobile app and invite people with a QR code, pairing code, or invitation. Members of that circle can send pages to the other members without setting up a system integration.
Can the person who sends a page see what happened?+
The sender can see the page in their list along with acknowledgements from other recipients.
What does severity mean for a managed circle?+
Severity is chosen by the person creating the page when you integrate the Sevloom API into your observability system. There are five severity levels: SEV-1 (highest severity) to SEV-5 (lowest severity).
What does severity mean for a closed circle?+
For a closed circle there are only two options: Critical and Urgent. The user sending the page selects one when they send it.
What are the supported devices?+
Phones, tablets, and watches that run iOS 17+ or Android 11+ are supported.
Can I connect more than one device?+
Yes. Create a separate pairing code for each device.
Should I send secrets or sensitive system data in a page?+
No. Do not include credentials, private keys, API keys, account numbers, or sensitive payloads. Use a concise message and a safe reference to the system where the responder can investigate.
Can I use Sevloom for an emergency?+
No. Sevloom is not an emergency-response service. For an immediate threat to life, safety, property, or security, contact local emergency services or another appropriate professional service.
